Any worthwhile endeavor begins as an act of faith. We can’t see the finish line. It’s too far away, around a blind corner, and shrouded in darkness. Too often, we hesitate to take action because we cannot see how things will play out.
But we can’t do that. We have to resist the need to have everything perfectly aligned and mapped out. We have to step boldly into the unknown. Designer and teacher James Victore says, “You gotta take the first step. You can’t have the other steps. You can’t see the other steps. They will not be given to you. Those are a reward that will not be given to you until you take the first step.”
The second step is your reward for taking the first step.
